ASAE says the enacted mandate could mean reams more paperwork; U.S. Chamber in the fight to press ahead with repeal. Over the strong objections of many associations and nonprofits, the U.S. Senate Sept. 14 rejected an attempt to roll back a measure that would likely require some associations to file substantially more tax-related paperwork.
